Banana Nutella Folded Tortilla (Printable)

Warm folded tortilla with creamy Nutella and ripe bananas, crisped to golden perfection.

# What You Need:

→ Main

01 - 2 large flour tortillas (approximately 25 cm diameter)
02 - 4 tablespoons Nutella or chocolate-hazelnut spread
03 - 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
04 - 2 tablespoons chopped hazelnuts (optional)
05 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter for frying

→ Garnish (optional)

06 - Powdered sugar for dusting
07 - Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, to serve

# How To Make It:

01 - Place one tortilla flat on a cutting board. Using a knife or scissors, cut from the center outward to the edge, creating a single radius cut.
02 - Divide the tortilla into four quarters visually. Spread 2 tablespoons Nutella on the first quarter, place half the sliced bananas on the second, sprinkle 1 tablespoon chopped hazelnuts on the third (optional), and leave the fourth plain or add extra Nutella if desired.
03 - Starting at the cut edge, fold the Nutella quarter over the bananas, then fold over the hazelnuts, and finally fold over the last quarter to form a compact triangular wrap.
04 - Repeat the same process with the second tortilla and remaining ingredients.
05 - Melt the unsalted butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the folded wraps and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
06 - Serve the wraps warm, dusted with powdered sugar and topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream as desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It's honestly faster than waiting for delivery, and somehow tastes way more special.
  • The folding trick makes you feel like you're doing something clever, even though it's genuinely this easy.
  • Those crispy edges paired with warm, gooey chocolate in the middle hit differently than a regular sandwich ever could.
02 -
  • Don't cut too deep or your tortilla will fall apart when you fold it—the cut just needs to go from center to edge, nothing more.
  • Overcooked these once and the tortilla actually split from the heat, so keep the skillet to medium and don't walk away; they cook faster than you'd expect.
03 -
  • Use good butter—salted or unsalted doesn't matter, but cheap butter burns and tastes weird when it's the only fat component.
  • The folding is forgiving; even if it doesn't look perfect it'll still taste incredible, so don't stress about presentation here.
